Why does everyone else in the story beside Matt want to forget the accident and move on? Who has the better method of coping with the crash?

Obsessive thinking is when you can't stop thinking about something. In the story, "The Accident", Matt is obsessed with finding out what happened in the car crash that killed his best friend. Reflect on a time in your life when you were thinking about something obsessively. What event brought about the obsessive thinking? What allowed you to finally get over it?

Why?

Why are so preoccupied with finding out "what happened" after loved ones die in an accident? For example, when a plane crashes, why are people so desperate to find out why the plane crashed, even if it won't bring their loved ones back?

Why Matt?

Why do you think Matt is so concerned with discovering the truth after his best friend's death?
